Swimbaits
Swimbaits are made of a hard or soft plastic that is shaped like a fish and designed to provide an action that replicates the action of a bait fish. They are usually relatively large and may also be jointed. Because of their larger size they are primarily used by anglers when going after larger bass and therefore will usually result in more pounds in exchange for numbers. The lure is best used when you match it with the size of the schooling bait fish that you see in the lake, and the action can undoubtedly play a role in whether a bass hits it or just lets it go by.
