Buzzbaits are topwater lures that can be used to cover a large area of water in a short amount of time. A lot of fishermen use them as a searching lure in order to locate bass before switching to different finesse lures. The propeller on the wire of the lure creates surface agitation and noise which attract the bass. The buzzbait also has a skirt and a metal head.  These are best fished during the summer when bass are more active on the surface.
